Our Christmas Message

It was in 1995 that we received an invitation from Dr. Piper to become his assistant in the ROGMA ministry. The board concurred in this and so upon our return to the States from Liberia the board extended us an invitation to join ROGMA. Working in this great evangelistic organization and seeing hundreds come to know Jesus Christ as Savior is a thrill matched by nothing else. Many more students have gone into full-time service or become active in a local church. Some went ahead with even limited knowledge and started churches.

During these years we have seen a tremendous increase in the scope of ROGMA’S ministry. The curriculum was increased from 2 to 6 courses and a website was added where anyone could enroll as a student. With the increase in the number of countries reached, we also touch a number of inmates in prisons all over the USA. With the development of a website graders were needed. With the help of 25 graders, students receive the personal attention they need. The number of directors has increased from 60 to 100. For all this we thank the Lord and to think that this is our doing would be a gross mistake.

About two years ago we started to pray for a couple to step into our shoes and carry the ball from here. God brought Brother Paul Miller and his wife Deanna to ROGMA in a miraculous way.

It has been a great pleasure for Marilyn and me to work with all of you and we pray God’s continued blessing on your individual ministries. I will continue to handle your email until Brother Paul becomes more familiar with the work of ROGMA.

From Paul and Deanna Miller

Deanna and I first heard of ROGMA in 1996 when John and Marilyn visited Ortonville Baptist Church in Michigan.  I had an opportunity to talk with John and I saw the excitement he had for the ministry.  While we never finished the course we certainly saw how the course could assist many pastors and missionaries in their ministry through evangelism, discipleship and building future leaders and teachers in the churches.  We never thought that ROGMA would be a part of our ministry.  As John stated above, it was miraculous how God led us to this ministry.  A mutual friend was praying for someone who would step in and replace John and Marilyn after so many years of serving at ROGMA.  During his prayer our names came to his mind.  He called us and asked if he could submit our names to the ROGMA board as consideration for the position.  The board approved us and we said yes and the rest is history.  We count it a privilege to be serving in this great organization and look forward to how God will use ROGMA in His plan for the future.
